Shrewsbury Street welcomes Sweet Bakery and Dessert Bar...

Glickman, Kovago & Company brokered a lease agreement for a 2,456sf retail space located at 305 Shrewsbury Street to Sweet Bakery and Dessert Bar. Sweet is a unique new restaurant concept that combines an upscale retail pastry shop with a dessert bar / lounge. The pastry team is lead by Sweet's owner, Alina Eisenhauer, an award winning pastry chef and former owner of The Sturbridge Baking Company

Shrewsbury Street has rapidly become Worcester’s most desirable pedestrian-oriented commercial neighborhood with over $5-million recently invested in infrastructure and streetscape improvements. 1,200sf of commercial space remain for lease at this location.

CVS purchases 3 parcels in Lunenberg for 12,900sf relocation...

Glickman, Kovago & Company is pleased to announce that CVS/Caremark Corporation has purchased 3 adjacent parcels located at 366 Whalom Road, 454 Electric Avenue, and 6 Kirby Avenue in Lunenburg. CVS has plans to build a 12,900sf pharmacy on the assembled land to relocate a nearby store. Construction is slated to begin this fall with anticipated completion in the spring of 2009.

CVS/Caremark, based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, is the nation’s premier integrated pharmacy services provider with over 6,200 locations throughout the country.

Glickman, Kovago & Company brokered a lease agreement for a 2,137sf retail space located at 305 Shrewsbury Street to Spoil’d. Spoil’d specializes in hip and fashionable clothing including designer jeans and specialty t-shirts. This will be a second location for the retailer which opened its first boutique in Westborough in 2007.

CVS celebrates grand opening of new store at 44 W. Boylston St...

Glickman, Kovago & Company is pleased to announce that CVS Caremark of Woonsocket, RI celebrated the grand opening of a newly constructed store at 44 West Boylston Street in Worcester. The 1.8 acre parcel was leased from EJR Real Estate Trust in the fall of 2007. The full service store, which features a flu clinic, is a relocation of the Gold Star Boulevard store.

Glickman Kovago & Company has brokered the sale of 4 Lancaster Terrace in Worcester between Cynthia Fiore and 4 Lancaster Terrace LLC of Worcester, Massachusetts on June 24, 2008 for $359,500. 4 Lancaster Terrace is a 3,235 sf office building located on 3,740 sf lot just off downtown Worcester.

4 Lancaster Terrace LLC is converting the property to attorney’s offices and will be the new home of Reardon, Joyce and Anderson PC.

Glickman, Kovago & Company has brokered the sale of Lot 3 Pioneer Drive in Oxford. The 1.47 acre parcel was purchased by Sunny Hill Realty, LLC of Leicester. Sunny Hill will construct a facility to accommodate their expansion of R & P Woodworking, Inc., a custom furniture manufacturing company. R & P Woodworking designs and builds Antoine Proulx Furniture and has been recognized in national furniture design publications such as, Interior Design, Progressive Architecture, as well as the New York Times.

Glickman, Kovago & Company has brokered a lease at 65 Southbridge Street in Auburn, Massachusetts. Unit #1, a 1,540sf space, was leased by New Street Monogram and Creative Screening of Worcester from Russ Gagnon Properties. The Co-Tenants specialize in custom embroidery and screen-printing and will be relocating to Auburn.

65 Southbridge Street is a 24,000sf office and retail building on busy Route 12 in Auburn. 16,000sf of space is still available.

CVS combines two parcels in Worcester for new store...

Glickman, Kovago & Company has brokered a recent real estate assemblage involving two parcels for CVS/Caremark Corporation of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

CVS purchased the property located at 82 May Street in Worcester, Massachusetts from Mesala, Inc. formerly the home of Quality Muffler & Brake. Quality Muffler & Brake has relocated to Jacques Street in Worcester. CVS also leased the adjacent property located at 400 Park Avenue from Commercial Management Inc. of Worcester, formerly home to the Cactus Pete Restaurant. CVS is building a new 12,900 sf store on the combined parcels, including a pharmacy and drive-thru. The store is expected to open in early 2009.

Patricia Brosnihan Dance Center expands to 130 Ferry St, Grafton...

Glickman, Kovago & Company is pleased to announce the completion of the sale of 130 Ferry Street in Grafton, MA. Formerly the home of Lakeview Auctions, the Grafton property will be used as a newly expanded and second location for the Patricia Brosnihan Dance Center of Hopkinton.

Lakeview Auctions is in the process of relocating, but can be found by visiting www.auctionzip.com with ID #2974. The auction house is planning a new auction towards the end of this month.

The buyer, 130 Ferry Street LLC, purchased the 4,200sf property from the owners of Lakeview Auctions.

Glickman Kovago & Company has brokered the lease of 2,775 sf office space at 67 Millbrook Street in Worcester between the Worcester Business Center and Southbay Mental Health of Worcester, Massachusetts on July 1, 2008. The Worcester Business Center is a 219,000 sf building located off Gold Star Boulevard on Millbrook Street.

Southbay Mental Health will be relocating to the property and using it for office space.

Glickman Kovago & Company has brokered a lease agreement between Rosewood Management of Marlborough, Massachusetts and Worcester Family Dental, PC for the property located at 44 Front Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Worcester Family Dental has leased 2,282 square feet in the 70,000 square foot building located directly on the Worcester Common and across the street from Worcester City Hall.

Rosewood Companies acquire, develop, manage and build commercial and residential properties. Since 1982, Rosewood has developed 2,400,000 square feet of commercial space and 450 residences valued at more than $240,000,000.

Up to 2,500 square feet of office space remains available at 44 Front Street in Worcester.

Glickman Kovago & Company has brokered the lease of 51 Union Street in Worcester between 51 Union Street LLC of Worcester and Lutheran Social Services of New England based in Wellesley, Massachusetts on July 1, 2008. 51 Union Street is a 36,000sf office building located just off downtown Worcester.

Lutheran Social Services of New England will be using the property for offices.

New 12,900sf CVS in Northborough to open in summer 2008...

Glickman Kovago & Company has brokered a lease agreement between Northboro Center Plaza LLC and CVS of Woonsocket, Rhode Island for the property located in the center of Northborough, Massachusetts. CVS is building a new 12,900 square foot store on the 1.2 acre site of the original strip center store. The store is expected to open in the summer of 2008.
